Technical Valve Services (TVS) Ltd is the engineering arm of the ac valve alliance group of companies and provides in-house testing, machining, modification, and manufacturing services.
As well as hydrostatic, pneumatic, and nitrogen gas testing we also have a purpose-built, in-house fire test facility that can test valves in accordance with BS EN 10497:2010 and API 607 6th edition 2010. Other valve sizes, pressure classes, and fire test standards can be accommodated.
The process is as follows:
A closed valve is heated to between 750 degrees centigrade and 1000 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes and following this period the test valve is water quenched to below 100 degrees centigrade and tested for operation, seat, and external leakages. TVS has carried out over 300, third-party witnessed, fire tests for a variety of major international ball, butterfly, and check valve manufacturers.
We can also offer high-pressure gas, submerged gas, and 24-hour testing.
