We launched the project in June 2019 to find a new ERP/MPR/CRM/Manufacturing package to drive the business forward, there were initially around 12 potential systems identified as potentially suitable. By the end of 2019 we had a shortlist of four systems which was again reduced to two in February 2020, before selecting Winman as our partner in April 2020, just as the Pandemic struck and many of us were working from home.
With the help of The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership we were able to obtain partial funding through their Digital Business Growth Programme which assisted in the cost of Software, Hardware and Project Management. The project really started to move in September 2020 when the project team was put together to oversee and test the implementation of the systems.
The biggest challenge for both The AC Valve Alliance Group and Winman is that the project was actually seven simultaneous implementations with each system able to trade electronically with the others.
With the system live since 1st July the journey is really beginning as more projects are being planned to further enhance the system ensuring AC Valve Alliance continually improves its offering and the systems that support it.
